Fall is Here

Who doesn’t love the season of Autumn? It’s by far my favorite. Everything seems happier. Even the air has a sense of joy in it. I know my moods change as the weather gets cooler. I have never been a fan of hot weather, so I start to relax and enjoy the outdoors more during the Fall.

Seasons come and go so quickly but they all seem to bring about something new and different. What we wear, what we do, and even what we choose to eat changes with the seasons.

Growing up in New Mexico, the fall brings the smells of green chile roasting. I am also a huge fan of pumpkin in almost anything, from smoothies to coffee or tea and a few favorite sweets. I also love to buy pumpkins in all sorts of shapes and sizes to decorate our patio. It all makes me very happy.

Fall is also the best time to head to the mountains. Most years the yellow flowers are abundant at our family property up north. This year there are quite a few less, likely due to the fires last year. Thankfully, the fires are in the past and new growth is happening. Fall colors of orange, red, and yellow cover the trees, and the fresh cool air shows up. And it’s smiling!
