Something New

In the summer of 2023 I started learning something new. My son, Chris, and his family traveled to Hawaii, and they bought me a ukulele! I have always wanted to learn how to play an instrument, and just never have. At the time, I had been thinking about trying the ukulele, so the timing was perfect! Ever since receiving it I have picked it up every single day, even if I only have minutes to practice. Sometimes I pick it up to clear my head. Other times I pick it up to watch a You Tube lesson and try to improve. I love to strum and have learned a little bit on how to pick. 

In the past I tried piano and even looked into learning the saxophone. Neither really stuck with me, nor clicked. 

After picking up my brand-new soprano ukulele, I absolutely loved it (yes, love at first sight)! I feel like it has become a therapeutic activity for me. It sparks joy in me, and now it is an enjoyable, and addictive, hobby.
